Which dryer is best for my hair?

To choose the best hair dryer you need to bear in mind various factors. Firstly, the size and weight of the dryer. These variables don't affect the end finish of the hair, but they do affect how comfortable it is to use the product. The most important factor is the power. If your hair is fine or dry, we recommend you choose a product with around 1700W, and when you can, avoid using the highest setting; this way you will avoid damaging your hair, but may take longer to dry. So, before choosing a dryer, you should bear these factors in mind, as well as others, such as accessories, air speed, whether the product has cold air blast, which new technologies it offers and the type of cable.

What is ionic technology?

Ions surround us everywhere, but when you brush your hair, it becomes charged with positive ions and can look "electrified" or unkempt. Dryers such as PRO 3000 IONIC TURMALINA with ionic technology returns the hair to its natural charge, taming it with a more shimmering finish.

Does ionic technology affect the health of my hair or my scalp?

The ions generated by Winsor dryers are innocuous, and don't damage the hair or scalp. Nor is there any proof that they provide any health benefits.

How long does the ionic effect last?

The time the ionic effect on your hair can last depends on the environment you are in, what you do with the length of your hair (friction and brushing), the hair products you apply and hair type.

How is tourmaline used in dryers?

Tourmaline generates ions that avoid frizziness and add shine to your hair, whilst also generating infrared heat that spreads out more evenly and is less damaging.

How do I use the concentrator accessory that comes with my dryer?

The concentrator offers greater control when drying hair by directing the flow of hot air.

What is the cold air blast on my dryer for?

Allmost all dryers have a cold air blast. This function allows you to dry your hair without subjecting it to damaging heat. In any case, this function is best used when you have finished drying; it closes the hair cuticles, fixing the style in place and helps to seal the hair from damage.

How do I clean my Winsor dryer?

A dryer doesn't require very much maintenance. The best way to clean it is by using a damp cloth to clean the grill where hair can accumulate, obstructing the fan. Never dip the product in water or use any products on it. You must unplug the dryer before cleaning.

How can I give my hair more volume with the dryer?

If you want to give your hair more volume, the best option is the diffuser accessory. All you have to do is make movements from the roots to the tips.

HAIR IRONS AND CURLERS

Which iron is best for my hair?

To choose the best iron for your hair, you have to bear in mind various aspects: The size, for example, depends on how you want to use it and how much hair you have. If you only want to straighten your fringe and fix your tips, a small one will be more than adequate. If you want to shape your styles and you have a medium amount of hair, you will need a medium-sized iron and lastly, if you want to straighten all your hair, or you have a considerable amount of hair, we recommend a larger iron.

Apart from the size, material and design are also relevant factors. There are models that include plates on the outside especially designed to allow you to curl your hair more comfortably with straightening irons, such as the Winsor Argan Iron.

What temperature should my hair iron reach?

Temperature is a decisive factor when choosing your iron. Most models have temperatures that vary between 80° to 235°. Winsor irons offer between 160° - 230°. Higher temperatures mean more professional results and greater control over the style, but for fine or dry hair, lower temperatures are recommended. The Winsor Digital Titanium includes digital temperature control, allowing you to adapt the level of heat to your hair type.

What material should my hair iron be made from?

There is currently a wide variety of brands and models. At Winsor we work with ceramic and titanium. We have added argan oil to the ceramic plates to protect hair and give it a more luminous finish. On the other hand, titanium plates are very good conductors of heat, and allow professional results in a shorter amount of time.

¿Cómo consigo un alisado perfecto?

How can I achieve perfectly straightened hair?

Hair straightening is very simple. All you have to do is place the hair between the tongs, close them so that the hair is held tightly and slowly slide down towards the tips of your hair. Hair should always be dry.

How can I achieve perfect curls?

You can achieve wavy or curly hair with both a straightener and a curler. All you need to do is roll a lock of hair around the curler or one of the sides of the straightener, wait a few seconds and remove the appliance. If you use products designed for curly hair when washing, you will achieve curls with greater definition.

How do I clean my straightener/curler?

Straighteners and curlers don't require very much maintenance. All you need to do is wipe them down with a damp cloth to clean them and eliminate any loose hairs or product that might have been left on them. Always clean the irons when they are cold and unplugged.

Can I use the irons/shapers on dyed hair?

Using heat treatments such as straighteners and curlers on dyed hair can damage your hair. You must take special care to properly condition your hair when washing it, and use appliances that have lower temperatures or ones that can be adjusted.

HAIR CLIPPERS

Should I use the clippers with wet or dry hair?

We recommend you to use hair clippers on dry hair, otherwise small bits of hair might form a paste that can block the blades. Also, over time, water can cause the blades to rust.

What's the best way to use hair clippers?

It's recommended to use the clippers against the direction the hair grows so the cut will end up looking more uniform.

How do I clean my hair clippers?

You should clean the blades after every use with the brush that is included, or, failing that, with a damp cloth. You can also apply a few drops of oil to the clippers from time to time to prevent any possible rusting.

How can I keep the blades sharp?

To keep the blades sharp for longer, you should use the hair clippers on dry hair, and apply a few drops of oil to the clippers from time to time.

Can I recharge the clippers while I use them?

The hairclippers cannot be charged whilst in use.

PRODUCT CARE AND USE

How do I take care of my Winsor product?

Once your Winsor product is cold after its use, wrap the cable as you found it in its original packaging. It is not recommended you roll it around the device handle as this may end up damaging it. To avoid deterioration of the appliance, never hang it by the cable.

How can I use my Winsor product outside of Spain?

Winsor products use the European mains supply system. In countries using other systems, you will need to use an adaptor. Winsor products work with electric currents between 220-240V. If the voltage of your destination is different, you may have to use an adaptor.

GUARANTEE AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT

How long does the Winsor guarantee last for?

As manufacturers, we guarantee styler models 3 and 3.1 for 12 months, and the ghd IV range for 24 months. During this guarantee period, we will take care of repairing or replacing your product in case of problems or breakdown. If your styler has become faulty due to improper use or accidental damage (please see product care where you can find information about proper use), we can make the necessary repairs; however, there will be a cost for repair. If you choose not to carry out the repairs, there may be a small cost to cover postage and packaging.

How do I make a claim on the guarantee?

To make a claim on your guarantee you must have the original receipt. Contact our Customer Service department for more information on 902 523 536.

Is there any exception to the guarantee?

Yes, there are some exceptions to the guarantee, The guarantee does not cover defects caused by improper use. Nor does it cover defects caused by accidental damage. In both cases we are able to offer technical assistance, but the repairs will be subject to a small repairs and handling fee.

The guarantee will be considered void if the styler has been repaired or handled by unauthorised staff outside the official ghd España Technical Support Service. We cannot offer guarantees when the styler has been acquired from an unauthorised distributor; in this case, consumer rights are applied at the point of sale.

Will I have to pay to have my Winsor product sent back to me?

Within the guarantee period, we will cover all postage fees for Spain and Andorra (overseas postage is not covered). If the styler guarantee has now expired and your styler needs repairs, we can offer you a quote for repairs. If you decide to turn down our quote, we will return the styler back to you. In this case, as the product is outside guarantee, you will have to cover the postage and return fees.

How long will I be without my Winsor product if I have to return it?

We guarantee your styler will be returned within a period of no more than 14 working days upon receipt at the Technical Support department. As we know how important your styler is to you, we will always try to return it as quickly as possible.

If my Winsor product doesn't work, where should I take it?

Winsor has various authorised technical support points throughout mainland Spain. You can take your Winsor product to your nearest Technical Support Service, or contact us at atencioncliente@winsor.es.

Are there replacement pieces for my Winsor product?

We do not make replacement pieces available externally, but you can contact your local authorised technical assistance point or contact us at atencioncliente@winsor.es.

How can I pay for the repair of my Winsor product?

You can pay by telephone with your credit/debit card or by bank transfer. We do not accept banker's drafts.

PRODUCT PURCHASES AND DELIVERIES

How long will the delivery of my order take?

Delivery normally takes between 2 and 7 working days in mainland Spain. Deliveries to Baleares, Canarias, Ceuta and Melilla may take slightly longer.

My order has not been delivered, what should I do?

You can consult your order status by signing into the Winsor website. If you detect any problems, or the delivery deadline has expired, contact us at atencioncliente@winsor.es

Do the prices on the website include delivery charges?

No, these are not included. They will vary according to destination and weight of package. Once you have finished your purchase, the final price will be shown.

Is it safe to buy at Winsor.com?

At Winsor we use data protection systems to make sure your purchases and payments are secure.

How do I register my Winsor product?

Registering your Winsor product will make any repairs or support you need later on much easier. All you have to do is sign into winsor.com and add the product reference in the field XXXXX. If you have any problems, do not hesitate to get in touch with us at socialmedia@winsor.es

PRODUCT ECOLOGY AND RECYCLING

When your product reaches the end of its useful life, make sure it is properly recycled. Winsor appliances contain materials that must be recycled separately with Electric and Electronic Waste and Appliances. Please check the waste system of your local authority

Deliveries

How many days I will wait until receive my order?

After we receive your payment you should wait from 2 to 7 working days if your live in Spain and from 4 to 10 days outside the country.

The delivery of my purchases has any cost?

Yes. Delivery costs would change depending on the weight and the destination. The delivery tax will appear in your budget before accepting the payment.
